NCIDQ & Interior Design Legislation Update

Monday, February 22, 2010 @ 5:30pm

Lindbrook Center, Room 204
10920 Lindbrook Dr., Los Angeles, CA

Change is in the air with NCIDQ, California's CID and national policy.  Students, faculty and practitioners need to be informed in order to lead and participate. We take the risk that others will limit our ability to practice our profession.

Jan Bast, FASID and NCIDQ Past President will explain why the NCIDQ exam is important to your career, and what the various paths are to accumulate the Qualified Work Experience necessary to sit for the exam.  Bruce Goff, ASID Legislation & Codes Advisory Council Co Chair, will speak about crucial issues in Interior Design legislation, why we as interior designers need to become involved and answer questions about licensing.

Becoming a responsible Interior Designer means knowing what is going on in the community that affects your profession.  Come and learn how legislative issues put into law, and being debated will affect your future.

Snacks and refreshments will be served.  An NCIDQ study package (valued at $259) from PPI will also be raffled off.  It contains the following:

- Interior Construction and Detailing for Designers and Architects, 4th Ed.
- Interior Design Reference Manual: A Guide to the NCIDQ Exam, 4th Ed.
- Interior Design Practicum Exam Workbook, 2nd Ed.
- Interior Design in a Flash: Rapid Review of Key Topics for the NCIDQ Exam

This event is so important, we're waiving our normal $10 fee.
~ Yes, it is FREE!  ~
