Hours of Position: Tuesday- Saturday 10am-4pm
This is a growing residential design firm in Irvine. Cool, boutique retail showroom; down to earth & fun to work with. Fast paced environment.
Position 1. Design Showroom Assistant:
Working in the showroom + greeting & working with customers + Selling furniture & accessories + Merchandising & keeping the showroom looking great + Receiving & tagging merchandise + Organizing fabrics + Assisting with design projects + Administrative work and answering phones + running errands + Social networking skills a plus (i.e., blogging) + Knowledge of Mac.
Salary will be based on candidate's experience.
Position 2. Interior Designer:
Creative, honest, hardworking + 2 - 4 years design experience + Develop proposals & budgets, + Assist with presentations + Work on projects from beginning to end + Work with suppliers & fabric reps + Must be able to space plan + Able to make furniture & fabric suggestions + Remodel experience is preferred + Retail experience is helpful + Window treatment experience is useful + Allied member of ASID is preferred.
Salary will be based on candidate's experience.

Additionally, this Interior/product design company specializing in the hospitality industry seeks an energetic and qualified Interior designer to further strengthen their firm's design offerings.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Present interior design ideas to clients for review and approval.
· Working closely with demanding clients, multiple vendors, construction managers.
· Ability to use AutoCAD and Sketch Up for existing projects which include revising, redlining, incorporating details from multiple parties; architects, engineers , etc.
· Ability to simplify, standardize and illustrate design details in a very clear fashion using both AutoCAD and Sketch Up.
· Ability to notate and communicate orally and by AutoCAD and Sketch Up improvements to design details.
· Ability to complete floor, furniture plans, floor and wall covering plans, interior elevations, interior details, ID drawings etc...
· Conduct site analysis of existing conditions, take as built measurements, coordinate input from multiple senior designers and principals to translate into plans.
· Analyze sketches, photos, notes and other input material to determine best approach for completion of drawings to solve technical issues of design in relation to sites and buildings.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Ability to communicate design ideas visually and through oral presentation with strong hand sketching skills, or 3D modeling.
· Advance Knowledge of interior materials and finishes including: Tile, Plumbing, Fabric, Lighting, Woods, etc
· Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
· Strong knowledge of Sketch Up, indesign and photoshop is required, other sketching tools are a plus.
· 5 year + of design experience.
· 5 year + post college advance AutoCAD Sketch Up experience.
· Understanding of residential and or commercial construction methods
· Ability to produce documents for pricing and scheduling
· Bi-lingual beneficial
